Due to the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991, the Republic of Moldova has proclaimed its independency, ad become a new partner on the financial, economical and international relationship level. During this period, many people remained without work. Many large enterprises and factories have been closed. The wave of unemployment has overflowed the republic and, first of all, women that suffered from it. Nowadays, this problem remains painful both in cities and villages. In the process of the jobs searching, women of different ages from 18 to 45 abandon their houses and families, leaving abroad. More often women are trafficked, suffer indignity and get into slavery. Even if they find work, money, they get depressed and down because: that is not at all their professional activity; their jobs are illegal and the most painful thing is the fact that they are far away from those they love.
Taking into consideration the low level of life in the Republic of Moldova women, especial rural, have no state support and women practically faces the problems of survival. This is depends on many factors: lack knowledge and information necessary for opening their business; the possibility to get credits for opening their own business and its development; legal and fiscal climate; state structure and public organizations which aims for training and educate women in the field of business development.
The large migration of labor force, especially for women like housekeepers and medical assistance is one of the basic socio-economic problems for Moldova. That becomes consequence of the poverty in the country. According to submitted static’s from financial point of view only 0.7% of the women, prosperous – 10.7%, needy (poor) – 54.6%, absolutely poor – 25.6%, very poor (beggars) – 8.4 %. Only 18% of respondents estimate their position in society as prestigious, and 53 % – determine it as not prestigious or less prestigious.
The results of research confirm that among rural women 47 % of respondents are convinced that it is possible to ensure material prosperity of family only by going to work abroad.
Therefore we have decided to train rural women how to open their business; how to write and lobby the business-plan; where to address in order to register the enterprise; how to receive the credit or other funds, etc and for information exchange we would like to cooperate with women organization from Tallinn, because they have more information in this domain.
